Virginia Flodean Stewart, 89, of Sherwood passed away July 6, 2019. She was born September 30, 1929 to the late C.C. and Emmerlee Anna (Usery) Goode in Beebe, Arkansas.
Virginia was a founding member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was the founder, owner and operator of North Hills Florist until her retirement and was a member of NARAVRE. Flo loved music and played the piano and organ at church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William A. Stewart. She is survived by son Bill Stewart (Sue) of Sherwood; daughter Susie Peceny (Joe) of Mt. View; daughter Rebecca D. Haltom (Freddy) of Midland, Texas; grandchildren Jason Stewart (Crystal), Jennifer Cameron (Chris), Shannon Southern (Richard), Shelly Govar, Lea Ann McVay (Roger), Ryan Haltom, ten great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Virginia DeSio, and constant companion “Baby”.
A special thanks to Carolyn Kirkpatrick, her dear friend Kathryn Brown, Sherwood Nursing and Rehab and various medical staff that has provided care for her in recent years. Memorials may be made to Grace Hospice Foundation, 10800 Financial Centre Pkwy, Suite 380, Little Rock, AR 72211.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
