Carol Lorraine Rowe passed away February 18, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on November 15, 1927 at Well Tank Farm, Minden, Louisiana to Simeon S. and Willie Mae Gillespie. She moved to El Dorado Arkansas in 1938. She was born again to her Savior at First Baptist Church in El Dorado. The family moved to Magnolia, Arkansas in 1941, and she graduated from Magnolia High School in 1946. She then attended Magnolia A. and M. College and took courses at the New Orleans Baptist Seminary. She married William F. Dunkle in 1947. After living in New Orleans, she and her husband returned to Oklahoma City in 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Burnelle Reynolds, of El Dorado, Arkansas; her son, Richard M. Dunkle, of Sulphur, Oklahoma; her daughter, Deborah Ann Storm, of The Village, Oklahoma; and her nephew, Randall G. Reynolds, of Ashdown, Arkansas.

She is survived by her son, David Alan Dunkle, of Oklahoma City, and her niece, Rebecca R. Lusk, of El Dorado, Arkansas. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Amy Lynn, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Sydney Lynn, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Her memorial service will take place at Olivet Baptist Church on Monday, February 27th, at 2 p.m., under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. She will be interred at Chidester Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home in Camden Arkansas. She worked at the Ethyl Corporation (later Albemarle) from which she retired in 1993. After her retirement, she returned to Oklahoma City, and rejoined the Olivet Baptist Church.
