SPRINGDALE — Evelyn Oxford, 75, of Springdale died April 28, 2007, at Springdale. She was born May 20, 1931, in Mabelvale to J.O. and Cannie Pearl Thompson Yarberry.
She retired as an insurance agent for Oxford Insurance Corp. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Fayetteville. She enjoyed music and collecting angels.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Oxford of the home, to whom she married on Dec. 30, 1951; one son, Billy Eugene Oxford and his wife Laurie of Purdy, Mo.; one daughter, Sandi Oxford Abel and her husband Tommy of Springdale; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fayetteville.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, online at www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
