Funeral services for Will Shook, aged 66, who died at his home near Cave Springs Saturday, Jan, 18th, 1936, were held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Church at Cave Springs, conducted by the Rev. Rice of Springdale. Burial was in the Phillips cemetery.
Mr. Shook was born in Georgia in 1870 and came to Benton County, Arkansas, when a child. He was united in marriage to Miss Alice Watson of Cave Springs. He had been a faithful member of the Missionary Baptist faith since 14 years of age.
Those surviving him include two children, Oral Shook of Cave Springs and Mrs. Floy Pickerill of Hutchinson, Kansas. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and five brothers and one sister. His father, J.H. Shook, died June 1st, 1915, and his mother, on September 13th, 1929.
