Tommy Massey, 66 of Strong, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born on December 25,1943 in Crossett, Arkansas to the late John Cecil and Eunice Wells Massey.

Tommy loved camping at Moro Bay and the mountains in North Arkansas, hunting and fishing, floating the Caddo and Buffalo Rivers. He was a carpenter for 50 years building homes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; J. C. “Gubber” Massey, two brother-in-laws; Don Crawford and Edward Wallace, nephew; Ronnie Lindsey, grandparents Annie and Tommy
Wells, and Ollie and Evelyn Massey.

Survivors include his wife; Pat Massey of Strong, three sons; Bo Massey, Timmy Massey (Kelly) both of Strong, and Jimmy Austin of Johnsville, Arkansas; four daughters; Christie Massey, and Charlie Massey (Steve Belin) both of Strong, Shelia Davis ( Ricky) of Marshall, Arkansas; and Betty Williams (Hank) of Huttig; three brothers; Alvin Massey (Helen), Wayne Massey (Lissie), and Pee Wee Massey (Gina) all of Strong; three sisters; Shirley Crawford of El Dorado, Dianne Fairris (James) and Martha Jane Wallace both of Strong; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Green Grove Chapel with Rev. Ricky Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels of Strong. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at his home, 3387 Pigeon Hill Rd. in Strong. Pallbearers will be Brian Sawyer, Ricky Davis Jr, Corey Massey, Steve Belin, Donny Crawford, Curt Fairris, and Alex Demiter.

Memorials will maybe nade to Green Grove Cemetery Fund.
