HORTON, Margaret Caman - Lowell, February 28.- Mrs. Margaret Horton, after several months lingering with that dread disease, consumption, died Sunday morning, February 26 at 7 o'clock. She was ready, waiting and watching. Several days previous she had her friends buy and make a dress, such as she wished to be buried in. Also requested J.N. Blackburn to make her coffin. Sister Horton was born in Washington county, this state, July 4, 1841; made a profession of religion in 1866; united with the Primitive Baptists the same year. She was married to Andrew Caman in 1867 and to this union was born five children. Her husband died in 1885. In 1889 she was married to J.F. Horton and shortly afterwards joined the Missionary Baptist church. Her life was in keeping with her professions. She leaves a husband, three children, a mother, four sisters, three brothers and a host of friends to mourn her departure. She was buried Monday in Pleasant Grove cemetery, Elder Green conducting the funeral services. We are requested to say that the husband and children are under many obligations to those who so kindly assisted during the sickness of this dear one. A Friend.
