Glenn Allen “Sudsy” Carpenter, age 73, of Hamburg, AR, died July 1, 2022, at his home.
He was born on December 4, 1948, to his parents Raymond and Marcelle Sivils Carpenter.
Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army and received a purple heart after honorably serving in the Vietnam War. He worked for Ashley Life Insurance and Jones Funeral Home in Hamburg for many years.
He was an avid crappie fisherman, deer hunter, and the best Glenn Glenn to all of his grands and great grands.
He is preceded in death by parents; wife of 44 years, Mitzi Carpenter; and two brothers Billy Ray and Richard Carpenter.
Glenn is survived by one daughter, Candie (Bubba) Stafford, and one son, Kenny Ray Carpenter both of Hamburg, AR; eight grandchildren, Brittney (Jeromy) Sullivent, Jay Griffith, Zachery Griffith, Tyler and Hayden Stafford, Raven (Skyler) King, Jane Claire (Sean) Sutton, and McKenna Carpenter; eleven great-grandchildren, Mason, Brylei, Jase, Jensen, Lexi, Skyli, Ella, Jude, Emma, Gerrett, and Hagen; and one lifelong friend and fishing buddy, Levi Gray.
Visitation will be held on July 3, 2022, at Bishop-King Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 P.M. with funeral services following at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be at Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home.
