Maurice L. Hodges, 94, of El Dorado, AR died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Hudson Nursing Home in El Dorado. He was a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church in Camden, AR where his wife’s family were founding members.
Mr. Hodges is survived by his wife, Lois Marks Hodges of El Dorado, a brother, John Hodges of Tampa, FL, two nieces, Patty Emminger of Tampa, FL and Melanie Sickel of Alabama, a nephew Steven Hodges of Hawaii and two brother-in-laws, Ivan Marks and wife Glenna of Austin, TX and Raymond Marks of Carrollton, TX. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews and an extended church family.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Sylvan Hills Baptist Church with visitation from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Carl Hart will officiate. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills Baptist Church.
