Elissa Dale Clamon Parker, 72 of Camden died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her residence after a four year battle with cancer. She was a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for twenty five years. She graduated valedictorian of Cutter Morning Star High of Hot Springs. She loved her flower gardens and her grandson said she did not have a green thumb but a green hand. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her father, Jack Clamon, mother, Addie Robertson and her son, Tony Blake Parker.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Jerry Owen Parker; daughter, Diane Renee Hicks and husband, Joe; daughter, Michelle Singleton; son, Bruce Randy Parker all of Camden, AR and son, Scott Knight and wife, Stephanie of Tomball, TX; brother, Edwin T. Clamon of Ward, AR; sister, Vicki Clamon Olsen of Little Rock, AR; granddaughters, Jessica Hicks Baker and husband, Jon of Jonesboro, AR, Leia Singleton and fiancé, Chad Gibbs of Camden, AR, Baylie Singleton of Russellville, AR, Crystal Parker of St. Louis, MO, Morgan Knight and Carrington Knight both of Tomball, TX; grandsons, Clayborn Singleton of Camden, AR, Ryan Parker of South Dakota, Jordon Knight of Tomball, TX; one great grandson, Bruce Riley Parker of South Dakota.
The family will receive friends at Proctor Funeral Home Thursday from 6 until 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held, 10:00 AM Friday, July, 6, 2012 at Cullendale First Baptist Church with Reverends Clay Doss, Scott Knight and Dr. Jimmy Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
