March 19, 1906 - November 3, 1968
Doyle E. Parker, A native of Hampton, died Sunday night in San Angelo, Tex., following a lengthy illness. Born Mar. 19, 1906, near Hampton, he was the son of B. B. and Lucinda Bush Parker. He was a retired mechanic and a three-year resident of San Angelo. Survivors include three sons, William Parker, Houston, Tex., Kenneth Parker, El Dorado, and Floyd Parker; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Kortuem, Tempe, Ariz; five stepsons, Billy Hopkins, Houston, Donald Hopkins, Smackover, Roy Baugus, El Dorado; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Eloise Parker, Mrs. Mary Carr and Mrs. Melba Laster, all of El Dorado, Mrs. Fay Arledge, Wabbaska, Ark., and Mrs. Lola Redding, Junction City, Kan; a brother, John Parker, El Dorado; and four sisters, Mrs. Merle Roberts, Amarillo, Tex., Mrs. Minnie O'Neal, Camden, Mrs. Sally Fikes, Spring hill, La., and Mrs. Abbie Waldrup, Monticello. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Proctors Funeral Home in Camden. (El Dorado Times - November 5, 1968)
