October 29, 1935 - February 2, 2022
Jeniece Maxine Jeffus, 86, of Camden, Arkansas passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home at her residence in Camden Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Miss Jeffus was born October 29, 1935 in Camden, AR, the daughter of W. Edison Jeffus and Bertie Everlee Inzer Jeffus. She was retired from F. W. Woolworth Company in Shreveport, LA since 1995, after being traveling personnel supervisor for Woolworth, working in eight states. After retiring from Woolworth and moving back to Camden and building a new home, she decided in 1996 to work for Brookshire’s in Camden for another sixteen years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alva Jeffus and a sister, Mary Lee Jeffus.
She is survived by her brother Samuel Henry Jeffus and his wife, Bonnie Jane of Camden; nephews Aubin Ray Jeffus of Scottsdale, AZ; Jerry Jeffus of Camden, Charles Jeffus and wife Donna of Camden, Larry Jeffus of Camden and a step-nephew, Don Dailey and wife Natalie of Hot Springs, AR.
Jeniece enjoyed singing in the church choirs at Fairview United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR, Morningside United Methodist Church, Shreveport, LA, Camden Cumberland Presbyterian Church and in several Christmas Cantatas at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Camden where she was a member. At home she loved working in her yard and greenhouse. Taking care of many potted plants, hanging baskets and flowers in her yard was her passion.
Special appreciation goes to her caregivers, Pam Jetton, Brandie Jetton, Melissa Jackson, Judy McLelland and Denise Steelman for the loving care they provided her over the years. The family also extends their appreciation to Dr. Lewis and the staff of OCMC Hospice.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-7:00 Friday, February 4, 2022. Funeral services will be 3:00 Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Roberta Johnson and Rev. Jimmy Vaughan officiating followed by interment at Bethesda Cemetery.
