*When Nola May Phifer was born on December 26, 1913, in Arkansas, her father, La, was 43, and her mother, Johnnie, was 27. She married Howard Beck on August 19, 1931. They had one child during their marriage. She died on June 15, 2000, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 86, and was buried there.
