Lois M. Williams, age 92, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She was born in White County, Arkansas, on May 18, 1914.
Mrs. Williams was raised in White County. She lived and worked in Harrisburg, Searcy, and Jonesboro. During World War II, Mrs. Williams worked at the U.S. Army Defense Plant. She also worked for Harris Cafeteria in Searcy and St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anthony, Kansas. She was preceded in death in 1968 by her husband, Clay H. Williams, who was employed by Arkansas Power and Light. Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dora Covington of Clay; two sons, A. Carol Williams and A. Gale Williams; one sister, Dorothy Watkins; and two grandsons, Michael and James Williams.
She is survived by one son, Richard Williams of Wilmington, Delaware; one daughter, Clotene Masner of Anthony, Kansas; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
