Mrs. May (Burson) Davenport, 80 years old of City Heights, Van Buren, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 15, 1968 in a local hospital. Born March 28, 1888 in Van Buren, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Dr. Edwin and Mary Starr Burson and the wife of Marvin Davenport, who died July 4, 1965. She was a member of First Presbyterian church.
Survivors are three sons; three daughters; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held in Ocker Memorial chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday. Virgil Kuhlenschmidt, pastor of First Presbyterian church, Carroll Rentfro, pastor of City Heights Methodist church and Felix Holland, pastor of Barling Methodist church, officiated. Burial was at Fairview cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas.
