John Wood, 71, of Lamar, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Mary's in Russellville. Born Thursday, May 9, 1940 to Frank and Ola (Smith) Wood, he attended the Church of Christ and was a retired repairman for Ozark Electric and the telephone company.

Survivors include his wife, Lola Wood of the home; one daughter Angela Wood; step-daughters: Jane Martin, Jo Ann Wood, and Debbie Ramsey all of Clarksville and Donna Brousseau of Hartman; Sons: Matthew wood and Pete Wood ( unknown); Step-sons: Terry Holman, Lamar; Roger Holman, Dean Holman & Billy Fox all of Clarksville; Jimmy Holmanm Hagarville, Rocky Holman of Batson Mountain; Sisters: Esther (Clifford) Crist, Gardner, KS; Ethel McKee, Prairie Grove, AR; Bertha Emrick, Lucile (Oran) Sanders, Maryln (Jack) Sluder, and Loretta (Dale) DeVore all of Fayetteville, AR; and Sharron (Jim) Broom, Magnolia, AR; and sister-in-law: Betty Wood, Alma, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gene and Marion Wood, and sister-in-law, Ethel Wood


Visitation will be 6:00-8:00, Thursday, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 23, 2011 at Roller-Cox Chapel with Brother Jay McAntire officiating. Pallbearers will be J. L. Holman, Jason Holman, Darrin Holman, D. J. Holman, Joseph Woods, Jimmy Lee Brousseau, Josh Brousseau and Zachary Fox.

Burial will be in Holman Cemetery, Lutherville, AR.
