Elmer J. Tomlinson, 47, of Greenland, died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1926, at Winslow. He was the son of Elmer A. and Eugenia Wilks Tomlinson and was a retired cook at the VA Hospital, a veteran of WWII and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Caudle Tomlinson, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Bishop of West Fork, and Miss Aundrea Lynn of the home; six sons, Ronald of Greenland, Michael of Fayetteville, Ricky, Bradley, Scott and Matthew, all of the home; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith of Winslow; one brother, Omar of Winslow; three sisters, Mrs. Loyce Leeds of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Jean Page or Kansas City, Kan.; and Mrs. Gladys Center of West Fork; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Moore's Chapel with burial in the Brentwood Cemetery.

Edith Grace Tomlinson, 76, of Greenland died Tuesday at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Winslow to Charles Eli and Dessie Southern Caudle.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Joseph Tomlinson, and two daughters, Deborah Annette and Glenda Janette.
Survivors include six sons, Ron Tomlinson of Greenland, Mike Tomlinson of Fayetteville, Rick Tomlinson, Brad Tomlinson and Scott Tomlinson, all of Greenland, and Matt Tomlinson of Harrison; two daughters, Linda Bishop of West Fork and Aundrea "Buffy" Smith of Sonora; three sisters, Gladas Davis, Ruby Center and Betty Carson, all of Greenland; a brother, Edd Caudle of Fayetteville; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Brentwood Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Dennis officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, with the family present.
Memorials may be made to Brentwood Cemetery, care of Dean Hughes, 16113 Hughes Mountain Road, Winslow 72959.
