WEST FORK — Claude R. Courtney, 67, of West Fork, was found dead at his home here yesterday. Death was apparently self-inflicted according to Sheriff Arthur Davidson. Mr. Courtney lived alone.
He was born Nov. 26, 1896 in Washington County, the son of Charles and Josephine Courtney.
Survivors include one son, Tillman of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Von L. Stevenson of Germany; two brothers, Russell of Winslow and Clyde of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Wright of Lawrence, Kan., and Mrs. Ethel Carson of Whittier, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be announced by the Watson Mortuary.
