Obituary
Sharon L. Williams Brown, age 65, of Hot Springs, was born September 19, 1946 in Hot Springs and died in her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 15, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Lavella Tisdale and her father Albert Fare. She is survived by the love of her life, Stan Brown; her daughter, Sherri Williams Daniels of Hot Springs; her son, Joey Williams of Fremont, Ohio, her son and daughter-in-law, Brandon Williams and Rachel Cameron of Hot Springs; her sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Mike Hurst of Hot Springs; two granddaughters, Caitlan Spoon and Ashley Buttrum, both of Hot Springs; her niece, Michelle and Bill Mullican of McKinney, Texas; her nephews Jeff and Kristen Hurst of McKinney, Texas and Josh Hurst of Hot Springs; numerous friends and neighbors, including the crew from the Surf and Turf and owners and operators of the Howard Johnsons and her dear friends Carol and Jerry Biondo, Patsy and Danielle Moody, and Kathy Melton, all of Hot Springs. She worked most of her life in the restaurant business and helped her mother manage and run the Tiki and Surf and Turf restaurants. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her puppies. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to experiment with new recipes; she loved working in the yard and planting her flowers and watching her birds every afternoon. She had a contagious smile and never met a stranger. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was very lucky to spend her life with the love of her life, Stan, who was completely devoted to her. She became ill many years ago and was unable to work, but remained strong never giving up and was a fighter to the very end. She defied everything the doctors always told her and when they had given up on her, she proved them wrong every time. She lived her life to the fullest even though physically she was unable to. The family would like to give very special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Tauth, without him she would not have had the last four and a half wonderful years; Dr. William Cole and Arkansas Hospice especially Stacy and Jamie, a special thank you to Capt. Carl Lacey and Butch Tosh of the Garland County Sheriff's Department. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to Arkansas Hospice or Potters Clay. A private service was held and she was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
