Gerald "Jerry" Brown, age 84, of Hot Springs, passed away, Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Jerry was born on May17, 1935 in Warren, the son of Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Thompson Brown. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Brown on June 10, 2018; his son, Jeffery Dale Redden; two sisters; and three brothers. Jerry was a member of the Piney United Methodist Church and a United States Air Force Veteran, and also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed remaining active in Hot Springs; he was a past president of Spa City Sams RV Club and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Hot Springs. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Nancy Redden of Cave City; his daughter, Lisa Brown of Shreveport, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Stephen and Jessica Redden of Paragould, Kyle and Shantelle Redden of Walnut Ridge, Emily and Randy Coleman of Jonesboro, and Matthew and Haley Redden of Blytheville; seven great-grandchildren, Beckett Redden, Ellie Smith, Lexington Redden, Campbell Coleman, McKenley Coleman, Carver Redden and Jennings Redden; his brother, Donald "Sonny" Brown of Sherwood; nieces, nephews, extended family members and many good friends. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, with Rev. Scott Gallimore officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday. Interment will be in the Crestview Memorial Park with full Military Honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
