April 1, 1899 - August 29, 1961
Thomas S. "Bud" Williams, aged 62 died, at his home at 327 Bath Street at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Williams was a native of Calhoun County. He moved to Camden from Bearden about four years ago. He was a timberman. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Abner Curtis Williams; one daughter, Mrs. Olen Barnett of Batesville; and four sisters, Mrs. Eli Quarles, Mrs. Robert Buckley, Mrs. Jim Doherty, and Mrs. Emma Haynes, all of Bearden. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bearden Assembly of God Church conducted by Rev. Duell Tanner, and Rev. Harold Cobb. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery at Bearden by Proctor Funeral Home. The body was taken to the home Tuesday morning to remain until funeral time. Pallbearers will be C. E. Loy, Homer Shatley, Thomas Kennedy, Bill Butcher, Melvin Lampkin and George England. (Camden News - August 29, 1961)
