Elzie Brazel Young, 75, died at 9:15 p.m., Monday at his home in Gentry following an extended illness.
Born May 4, 1904, in Delaware County, Okla., the son of William Lafayette and Martha Ellen (Blair) Young, most of his life was spent in Northwest Arkansas. For many years Mr. Young lived on a farm near Highfill. He was a member of the Gentry Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey May (McAbee) Young, of the home; one son, Leslie, of Stockton, Calif.; 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred of Rogers; and a sister, Mrs. Ida Rone of near Gentry.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 13) in Memorial Chapel of Wasson Funeral Home with Gus Munden, Pastor of the Gentry Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Barron Cemetery.
