William Stonewall Jackson, 83, of Rt. 3, died in the home of his daughters at 9:20 p.m. Friday. Jackson was born Dec. 28, 1882, in El Dorado and was the son of Doc Franklin and Mary Jane Baker Jackson. He was a lifelong resident of Union County, a member of the Woodmen of the World, the Union Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Jackson of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Turner of San Luis Obispo, Cal., and Mrs. Herburt Trull of El Dorado; two sons, Felton Jackson of El Dorado and William Beeman Jackson of Fort Worth, Tex.; two brothers, M. A. Jackson and George Jackson, both of El Dorado; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Phillips of El Dorado; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Rumph Mortuary.
