BENTONVILLE — Sam Griggs, 33, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home.

He was born on May 10, 1983, in Little Rock, Ark., son of Ralph and Carolyn Griggs. He was a Baptist and worked for Wal-Mart as a Building Controls Specialist. Sam was a talented musician and artist.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph Y. Griggs and Hester Griggs; his maternal grandmother, Eloise Myers and maternal step-grandmother, Niva Kimball.

Sam is survived by his parents, Ralph and Carolyn Griggs; brother, Ben Griggs and wife Sarah and their two sons, Jack and Maxwell Griggs, all of Springdale, Ark.; maternal grandfather, Allen Kimball and wife Elisabeth of Dover, Ark.; one paternal aunt, Pat Davis; maternal aunts and uncles, Ruby and James Sutherland, Gary and Glenda Kimball, William "Bill" and Karen Kimball and Robert Kimball; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. that day. Rev.
