Carl Raymond Cook, 75, of Powhatan, died Oct. 25, 2011, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 30, 1935, in Flint, Mich., he was a retired pinspotter repairman for Frontier Lanes in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Black Rock, where he served as sound technician and was co-chairman of the building and grounds committee.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Michael Cook; his parents, Carl and Thelma Howard Cook; and five sisters, Ruth Breckinridge, Alberta Lindsay, Beverly Gysi and twins Patricia McCann and Patsy Helms.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Palmer Cook, whom he married June 12, 1988, in Reno, Nev.; a son, Mark Cook and wife Laura, Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Jackie Key and husband Gary, Davison, Mich., and Jane Cook, Phoenix; two stepsons, Andy Ball and wife Suzi, Dewey, Ariz., and David DeBenedetto and wife Danielle, Goodyear, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Tricia Schooley and husband John, Phoenix; a brother, Wayne Cook, Columbiaville, Mich.; two sisters, Maxine Koch and husband Irv, Davison, Mich., and Martha Alberts and husband Carl, Manistee, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Williamson and husband Dick and Bernice Gray, all of Powhatan; and 14 grandchildren, Josh Key, Mark Key, Joshua Ball, Brian Ball, Cassie Ball, Sara Schooley, Kevin Schooley, Stacy Schooley, Dominic DeBenedetto, Elias DeBenedetto, Cydney Cook, Alex Cook, Tricia Cook, and Danny Cook.
Graveside service was Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Julia Ann (Judy) Cook of Sun City, Arizona died on Dec. 10th 2017 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born Feb. 24th 1944 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Jess and Edna (Burke) Palmer. Living in Arkansas, Illinois, California and Arizona, she acquired many friends who will miss her infectious smile. While living in Powhatan, AR, Judy attended New Hope Baptist Church and was employed by Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the Walnut Ridge Walmart.
Survivors include her loving partner Eugene Ball Jr., sons Andrew (Suzy) Ball, David (Danielle) Debenedetto, son-in-law, John Schooley, step-son Mark Cook, step-daughter Jane Cook and sister Bernice (Roger) Taylor of Powhatan. Judy was very proud of her grandchildren Brian and Cassidy Ball, Sara, Kevin and Stacy Schooley, and Dominic and Elias Debenedetto. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, devoted husband, Carl Cook, daughter Patricia Schooley, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Jesse Alfaro, and Geneva and Richard Williamson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on January 10, 2017 at Powhatan Cemetery.
