January 11, 1912 - January 8, 1969
James Arthur Thomas, 56, El Dorado Hwy, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital. Mr. Thomas came to Camden twenty years ago from Hamburg, and was a guard at International Paper Company and a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cathrin Ogden Thomas; one daughter Christie and one son, James Arthur, Jr. of Camden; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Amis of Nashville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Proctor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - January 9, 1969)
