SPRINGDALE — Ethel "Rayne" Cossey Lee went to heaven Oct. 18, 2018, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Ark. She was born Nov. 28, 1943, on her family farm in the Big Creek community near Marshall, Ark., to Coy James Cossey and Claudia Mae Ragland Cossey.
Rayne was a Christian. She was an artist and avid quilter, giving her quilts and crafts to those she loved. She was a hard worker, having worked in factory and retail settings until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul Ray Cossey and Reuben James Cossey; sister, Dorothy Cossey Kreger; and son-in-law Roy Don "Donny" Smith.
She is survived by daughters, Robin Rayne Smith, Katrena Pianalto (Tony) and Nikki Simonton (Jason); grandchildren, Trinity Smith, India Smith, Taylor Smith, Kristina Sherrill, Autumn Davis, Jacquetta Pianalto, Nik Pianalto, Hunter Hoag and Heath Lee; sisters, Eva Lee Cossey Harlan and Joann Cossey Hodge; and eight great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Leon Hodge and Clifton D. Blackwood. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Springdale after the service. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale from 5-7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Nik Pianalto, Taylor Smith, Tony Pianalto, Jason Simonton, Hunter Hoag and Heath Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Sherrill, Ryan Davis, Paul Martindale Cossey, Stevie Cossey, Kenny Renfroe, Mark Renfroe, Greg Renfroe, John A. Hodge, and Larry Hodge.
The family requests memorials in her name be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
