Darrell Lane Morgan, son of the late Clarence Morgan and Gladys Poling Morgan, was born August 12, 1940 in Sullivan, Illinois. He departed this life April 1, 2018 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 20 days. Darrell grew up and attended school in Illinois.
He was united in marriage to Donna Jean Beel on June 23, 1973 in Decatur, Illinois.
Darrell spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was employed by Norfolk and Southern Railroad, retiring after many years of employment. He worked as a welder and commercial truck driver. While living in Illinois, Darrell volunteered as a baseball coach for his three sons. After retiring, Darrell and Donna moved to the Mt. Olive Community. Darrel was an founding member of Ruthie Mountain Fire Department. Darrell was of the Presbyterian faith and attended the Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church and New Hope Christian Fellowship in Culp.
He is survived by two sons: Michael Williams and wife Melissa of Mt. Olive and Donald Morgan and wife Brenna of Mt. Olive; one daughter: Annilea Drake of Mt. Olive; two sisters: Barbara Lovell of Arizona and Sharon Pryor of Illinois; eleven grandchildren: Marcus Williams, Tiaca Williams, Tiffany Adams, Emily Neusal, Morgan Williams, Shawn Vickers, Angelica Jones, Kayla Morehead, Zackary Neathery, Donavon Drake and Derek Drake; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; special friends: Cindy and Dale Parker of Mt. Olive, Velma Fenton of Illinois and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Donna Morgan; one son: Ronald Morgan; one brother: Ronald "Ronnie" Morgan and one sister: Ruth Merold.
The family will be holding a memorial service Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Wade Moser and Jeff Sanders officiating.

Donna Jean Beel Morgan, daughter of the late Ivor Beel and Hilda Hampton Beel, was born March 7, 1940 in Vandilia, Illinois. She departed this life February 5, 2015 at her home in Mt. Olive, Arkansas at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 28 days. She was united in marriage to Darrell Morgan June 23, 1973 in Decatur, Illinois. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years: Darrell Morgan of the home; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Michael and Melissa Williams and Donald and Brenna Morgan all of Mt. Olive; one daughter: Annilea Drake of Mt. Olive; one brother: Richard Beel of Cotter; eight grandchildren: Marcus Tiaca, Tiffany Adams, Emily Neusal, Morgan Williams, Shawn Vickers, Angelica Jones, Kayla Morehead and Zackery Neathery; 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son: Ronald Morgan.
The family will be holding a memorial service Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Christian Fellowship with Wade Moser and Jeff Sanders officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
