James “Wiz” Morgan age 86, of Oxford died July 3, 1985 at the Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View.

The son of Joseph S. and Maggie Garner Morgan, he was a member of the Hays Lodge #289 F & AM. He attended the Methodist Church in Oxford, AR.

Graveside and Masonic Services were held Saturday, July 6, at the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, AR with Loye Vern Mason officiating.

Survivors are his wife Emma of the home, 2 daughters, Wanda Morgan Lee, Oxford; Lavoun Morgan Reeves, East Wenatchee, 2 sons; Floy J. Morgan, Melbourne; James Morgan, Gassville, AR; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Henrietta Hamilton, Huntsville, Alabama and Ollie Webb, Choctaw, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Jackie Dockins, Bob Williams, Sterling Sexton, Doyne Gaston, Billie Hall, and R. W. Dockins.

Special singing by the Charles Sherrell Family.

Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, AR under the direction of the Leland Carter Funeral Home of Salem.
