Dewey L. Greer, 63, of Plano, Tex., died Sunday morning. Born Jan. 22, 1904 in Union County, he was the son of Dan and Ellie Davis Greer. He was a former resident of Plano for 10 to 12 years and was an employe of the Lone Star Boat Co. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Jackson Gree, Plano, one son, Muriel Greer of Plano; one daughter, Mrs. Tullis Cook of Vivian, La., two brothers, John Greer and D. C. Greer, both f El Dorado; four sisters, Mrs. O. L. Allen of El Dorado, Mrs. W. P. Davis and Miss Thelma Greer at Marysville, Mrs. Preston Cheatham of Village and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Methodist Church with the Rev. Harvey Saxelid officiating. Interment will follow in the Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family will be at the C. P. Jackson residence, 814 Marsh Ave. (El Dorado Times - October 16, 1967)
