James Barney McDonald husband of Dorothy (Price) McDonald. James Barney McDonald son of Felix McDonald and Monnie McDonald. Dorothy (Price) McDonald daughter of Carmel E Price and Dorothy Frances (Shoebert) Price.

*Obituary
James Barney McDonald, son of the late Felix and Monnie McDonald, was born December 31, 1937 in Helena. He died April 6, 2001 in Melbourne. He was 63.

Mr McDonald was united in marriage to Dorothy Price at Woodstock, Illinois, in 1960. During his working years he was employed with the Chcago Transit Authority as a supervisor; He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband and father. Also remember, "Believe in the magic of your dreams."

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; one daughter, Darlene McDonald; four sons, James Michael McDonald, John McDonald, James W. McDonald and Bryant McDonald; two sisters, Francis Powell and Mary Howard, both of Columbia, Missouri; one brother, Charles McDonald; and thirteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Nancy McDonald; two sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services were held April 9, 2001 at Reeves Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Smith, James Michael McDonald, John Bryant McDonald, Donnie Whatley, Dorothy McDonald and Darlene McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers were Fred Lamb, Gray Dillinger and Leon Hutchins.

Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Dorothy J McDonald, 74, of Melbourne, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 1st, 2017 at Care Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mountain Home, Arkansas .

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 5, 1943, daughter of the late Dorothy Frances (Shoebert) and Carmel E Price. Dorothy spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and homemaker. She was united in marriage to James B. McDonald on January 23, 1960 in Woodstock, Illinois.

Dorothy is survived by her children, James Michael McDonald, John B. McDonald and Darlene Whatley; one brother; one sister and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Carmel Price; husband, James B. McDonald and daughter, Nancy Marie McDonald.

There are no services planned at this time.
