Mr. C. D. Adams, who was taken ill on July 15 and who has been very ill ever since, died at 11 o'clock at his home on North Main street Monday night.
Mr. Adams was born in Thayer, Mo. Nov. 15, 1885. He was twice married, the first time to Miss Olive Stout. To this union two children were born, Fern and Doris. In June 1918 he was married to Mrs. Elvie Billingsley. To this union five children were born: Theresa, Carl, Myrice, Anna Rose and William Henry.
Beside his widow and children, he is survived by a step son Troy Billingsley, his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Adams of Thayer, one brother Darrell Adams and two sisters Miss Ethel Adams and Mrs. Bessie Frankie.
Mr. Adams has made his home in Searcy for the past five years where he has been manager of Freeman Sample Store.
Funeral arrangements by Chandler Funeral Home and burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
