William G. Adcock, 88, passed away this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Ray, Searcy, Route 5, after a short illness.
A retired farmer and stock raiser, he was born in White county where he spent his entire life.
He was married to Miss Ruth Jane Howell January 12, 1888. To this union was born 10 children, five of whom survive.
A consecrated member of the Church of Christ, he was a devoted husband and father. He had many friends here and over the county.
Also surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. G. O. Yingling, Searcy and Miss lillian Adcock, New York City, N. Y., two sons, Brad of Searcy and Homer Adcock of Pangburn; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Howell cemetery by the Rev. J. A. Thompson. The Daniel funeral home will be in charge.
