LITTLE ROCK — Edward Lawrence Beasley, 81, of Little Rock, Ark., died Monday, April 23, 2012, in Bentonville, Ark.

Ed was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ed and Chris were married 59 years and resided 54 years in Little Rock. Ed was an extraordinary salesman in the furniture business for 45 years. He was employed by Haverty's, Arkansas Furniture and Carpet Company and Brandon House Furniture.

Ed was a faithful member of St. James United Methodist Church and was devoted to serving others. He will always be remembered for reaching out to help others in their area of need. He had a kind heart and loving spirit.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Edward Leonard and Florence "Suzie"; his wife, Christine; a brother, Max Beasley; a son-in-law, Bud Brown; and a grandson, Jarred Phillips.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Cheryl Brown of Bentonville, Ark.; a son, Stephen E. Beasley and wife, Elaine, of Hearne, Texas. He also leaves behind three grandsons, Barrett Brown and wife, Julie, of Tempe, Ariz., Benton Brown and wife, Megan, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Justin Beasley of Austin, Texas.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Chapel at Village on the Creeks.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

LITTLE ROCK — Christine Taylor Beasley, 81, of Little Rock, Ark., died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in Bentonville, Ark.

Chris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Chris and Ed were married 59 years and resided 54 years in Little Rock. She was a retired registered nurse and was employed by the Little Rock Public Schools for 28 years as a school nurse. Chris was a faithful member of St. James United Methodist Church and truly exemplified the Proverbs 31 woman.

She was a member of La Moderne Civic Club, BLS Dance Club, UMW Women's Ministry and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. She will always be remembered for her compassionate and nurturing spirit in caring
for others.

She is preceded in death by both parents, William Clyde and Ethee Taylor; a sister, Beatrice Stratton; a brother, Thomas Taylor, a son-in-law, Bud Brown; and a grandson, Jarred Phillips.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Edward Beasley: a son, Stephen E. Beasley and wife Elaine of Hearne, Texas; a daughter, Cheryl Brown of Rogers, Ark.; and a brother, William S. Taylor of Benton, Ark. She also leaves behind three grandsons, Barret Brown and wife Julie of Fayetteville, Benton Brown and wife Megan of Springdale and Juston Beasley of Austin, Texas.

The service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at the Chapel at Village on the Creeks.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be nude in Chris' name to Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village.
