BEASLEY, Anne Eliza - Mrs. Ann Beasley, 74, mother of State Senator Sam Beasley and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Joe Beasley, died at her home in Hiwasse early Saturday following a critical illness of several days. Mrs. Beasley moved with her family from Rutherford County, Tenn. in 1894. Besides her two sons Mrs. Beasley is survived by two daughters, Miss Hattie Beasley, postmistress at Hiwasse, and Miss Esther Beasley, well-known school teacher. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Hiwasse at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Hiwasse Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Anne Beasley who died Saturday, July 5th, 1930 at 3:00 a.m. Rev. George B. Kellem, pastor of the First Christian Church in Bentonville, conducted the services in the presence of a large number of old friends and neighbors of many years standing. Burial was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery by the side of her husband, B.F. Beasley, and her two sons, Frank, who died in 1912 and Lieutenant Noble Beasley, who was killed in an airplane accident at Kelly Field, Texas in 1924. She is survived by two sons, Sam Beasley, state senator, and Joe Beasley, assistant prosecuting attorney, both of Bentonville; also by two daughters, Miss Hattie Beasley, the post mistress at Hiwasse, and Miss Esther Beasley, a well known school teacher, both of the home. Mrs. Anne Eliza Beasley was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn. September 8, 1856 and was nearly 74 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Benj. F. Beasley in 1879 at Murfreesboro. In 1896 the family moved to Benton County and located close to Hiwasse. Mr. Beasley was a stone mason by trade. He died in 1903. She had been in comparatively good health until a year ago when she began to fail. Two weeks ago Mrs. Beasley became very ill and gradually became weaker until the end.
