Allen McKinley Long, 73, died Saturday at Springhill, La., after residing there for sixteen years. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Springhill. His survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Long, Springhill, La.; five sons, Paul O. Long, Smackover, Clarence A. Long, Magnolia, John L. Long, Nederland, Tex., Huey Long, Stephens, and J. W. Oliver, Smackover; eight daughters, Mrs. Emma Hogg and Mrs. George Lotz, both of Smackover, Mrs. Margie Parks, Little Rock, Mrs. Clara Massey, Cherry Valley, Ark., Mrs. Tom Frazier and Mrs. Ralph Smith, both of Nederland, Mrs. Leman Sullivan and Mrs. Pat Rogers, both of Springhill; one sister, Mrs. Roy Holbrook, Fort Worth, Tex.; 46 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Temple Baptist Church in Springhill. with the Rev. John Strom and Rev. Doyne Sandefer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Smackover Cemetery, under the direction of Young's. The body will be brought to the church at noon Monday. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Smackover Cemetery. (El Dorado Times - January 6, 1969)
