Johnny "J.T." Long, Jr., claimed his victory through Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Life Touch Hospice John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Born on August 10, 1929 in Mississippi he was the son of Johnny Long, Sr. and Flonnie Long Murphy. J.T. spent his free time in the woodshop, carving out the names of friends, family and for others who simply admired his work. He was known years ago as one of the best fast pitch softball pitchers in El Dorado, sharing his talent with many simply for the love of the game.

J.T. was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, as well as his wife, Glennie Lewis Long and their son Danny Long and his wife Barbara.

J.T. is survived by his daughter, Lori Neely and her husband Larry of El Dorado and grandchildren, Rodney Neely of El Dorado, Jessica Allison (Justin) of Magnolia, Kelsey Lingo (Bobby) of El Dorado and Nathan Long of Conway as well as great grandchildren, Britley Lynn Lewis and Kaylie Marie Lingo.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating and under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730 or Champagnolle Landing, a place he dearly enjoyed, 910 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
