Funeral services for Effie Covington, 80, of Midway will be Tuesday at 10AM at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Melton officiating.
Visitation will be today from 9AM to 9PM with the family receiving visitors from 7 to 8PM at the chapel. Burial will be at Heiskill Cemetery.
Mrs. Covington died Sunday (Jan 5) at her home. She was born Aug 20, 1905, in Baxter County and was lifetime resident of the area.
A retired homemaker, she married the late Ed Covington Nov 7, 1933. Mr. Covington died in 1965. Mrs. Covington was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fenton and Rosie Fletcher Heiskill, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Gene Covington of Whiteville; and two daughters, Maye Rose and Loretta Covington, both of Midway, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Smith, George, Smith Jimmy White and Eudell Fletcher.
