Buford L. Shumate, 77, of Greenbrier died Friday (April 30, 1999) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 19, 1922, in Greenbrier, a son of Hollie and Iva Blythe Shumate, he was retired from Top Value Enterprise, a World War II veteran, a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Sue Livingston Shumate; a son, Rick Shumate of Burleson, Texas; a daughter, Carolyne Muise of Round Rock, Texas; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be in McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers Doyle Jolly, Oscar Gray, L. D. Livingston Jr., Royce Shumate, Robert Gerald Shumate and Milton Shumate.
Memorials may be made to the Greenbrier Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
