November 5, 1916 - November 28, 1967
James Randolph Hill, 51, of 809 Newton St., died early Tuesday morning. He was born Nov. 5, 1916, in Lonoke, and was the son of James Henry and Edna House Hill. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 706 and a long-time resident of the area. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Edna House; two daughters and one son; a brother, Earl Hill of El Dorado; and a sister, Mrs. S. C. Jacobs of El Dorado. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rumph Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Woodrow Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family is at the Jacobs residence at 1203 W. Eight St. Pallbearers will be P. G. Hayner, W. W. Goodwin, Jr., Ray Cook, C. E. Douglas, J. W. Cross and Dick Steelman.
