Virginia Bennett, 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the Briarwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Little Rock.

Born January 20, 1931, in Calvin Crossing, Arkansas, daughter of Lehman and Viola Hall Guffey.

She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Bennett in 2003, her parents and a sister, Betty Jo Guffey-White.

Survivors include two sons, Sloan (Kelly) Bennett and Swannee Bennett both of Little Rock; five grand-children, Michelle Mollette of Maumelle, Robert and Stanton Bennett of Sherwood, Damon Duncan and Crystal Duncan both of Hensley and Nathan Duncan of Little Rock; three great grand-children, Parker and Preston Mollette and Greyson Straight; a special friend, Jerry W. Anderson of Little Rock; a great nephew, Joey Lashley of Cash.

Services were held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment was in the Strangers Home Cemetery.
