James Warren Blevins, 56, of Tulsa, died Thursday.

He was a member of the Sheridan Road Baptist Church of Tulsa.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Dean of the home; one daughter, Sandra Leigh Hendrix of Claremore, Okla.; his mother, Mrs. Ray Blevins; one sister, Mrs. Homer Wilmoth; and two brothers, Hall K. Blevins and Vol Blevins, all of Rogers; and one aunt, Ethyle Campbell of the home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa under the direction of Moore Funeral Home of Owasso, Okla. Graveside rites will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hart Cemetery, in Rogers.

Nell Daphne Blevins was born May 16, 1928, in Centerton, Arkansas, to Jesse James and Zelda Irene Dean. She died Thursday, August 17, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Nell was reared and educated in Bentonville, Arkansas, and was a graduate of Bentonville High School. She was married in Bentonville to James Warren Blevins. She spent most of her working life as a lead with Seiscor. After coming to Oklahoma, Nell was active with Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa, where she was involved with the House of Hope ministry. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Loving family members include: Her daughter and son-in-law; Sandra and Dan Arnett, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Brother and sister-in-law; James and Jeanne Dean, of Bentonville, Arkansas; As well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, Coin Dean.

Graveside funeral service will be held 11:30, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Hart Cemetery in Bentonville, Arkansas, with Steve Mowery officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Nell’s memory to your favorite charity. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
