Rebecca Irie Castleberry Reynolds went to be with the Lord and Savior on January 29, 2018. She was born May 27, 1920 to her late parents Loyd M. and Willie Reno Castleberry. Irie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Aaron, Hinkle, Ernest and Thurman Castleberry; Sisters Mary Burkett, Annie Barton, Daisy Cotton and Marie Webb. Also preceded in death by Martha Staggs, a niece she and Ernest raised, and her husband of 63 years, Ernest Reynolds.
Irie was the oldest member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at International Shoe Factory for 20 years, and then worked at CAPCA in Conway for a number of years. She was a hard worker at home, spending time sewing, gardening and one incredible cook. She loved to prepare meals every Sunday after church for kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was famous in her family's eyes serving homemade rolls, biscuits, fried chicken, stewed potatoes, and delicious homemade from scratch desserts. Ernest and Irie provided their family unconditional love and left a wonderful legacy for all to follow.
Survivors are her son, James Reynolds (Phyllis) of Greenbrier, daughter, Becky Goodman (Mark) of Greenbrier, grandkids, Kim Hutchcraft, Tim (Teri) Reynolds, Luke (Amanda) Goodman, Wes (Sarah) Goodman, great grandkids, Jason (Dana) McGinty, Ashley Nance, Skylar (Kaylin) Reynolds, Seaana Reynolds, Pate and Matti Goodman, John Rock and Haskle Goodman, great-great grandkids, Aubrey Henderson, Samuel, and Haven McGinty, nephew, Ronnie Staggs, who was like a grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6-8PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Bro. Jesse Thomas and Gaylon King officiating. Burial will follow at Republican Community Cemetery in Greenbrier. Grandkids will serve as Pallbearers.
The family is thankful to Judy Edwards for the wonderful care and love shown for the last 6.5 years and to the Kindred Hospice team for their care and support given.
