Age 80
Bonnie Bernee Freeman, 80, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Russellville Nursing & Rehab. The daughter of Jimmy Coleman Smith and Walsie Olena (Hankins) Smith, she was born March 23, 1937 in Marsena, AR. She married Marion Odell Freeman, on April 23, 1955 at Marshall, AR.
She worked as a Nurse's Aid for Russellville Nursing and Rehab and later Atkins Nursing Home.
Bonnie was a member of the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School.
Bonnie raised her children and instilled in them good values. She also cared deeply about the children of the community and she showed her servant attitude by baby-sitting children in Dover. She was a good cook and was famous for her homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy. Bonnie worked hard but also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, crafts, and especially going to church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Scot Harrison Freeman.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years,three children, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be at Coleman Cemetery in Pelsor by Humphrey Funeral Service.
