ROGERS - Orvid Cook, 83, of Rogers passed away May 14, 2012 in Springdale. Orvid was born June 17, 1928, in Huntsville, Ark., the son of George and Dessie Fritts Cook. He was a machinist for Brunner & Lay. Orvid was a member of Calvary Chapel; he was also a member of AA and leaves behind many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors his wife, Hannelore Krichbaum Cook of the home; his daughter, Lisa O'Brien of Rogers; stepchildren, Fred Welch and Jeanie Preist; his sister, Aneita Jones of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Whitney Brown and McKenzie O'Brien.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, with Pastor Paul Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogers Cemetery.
