Hilda Mae Lane, 85 of Quitman passed away Thursday,September 22, 2005 at St. Andrew Nursing Home in Conway.

She was born January 10, 1920 in Enola, the daughter of Elvert E. and Maggie (Gray) Brinkley. She retired from Conway Human Development Center and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church at Guy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 48 years Lawrence J. Lane; grandsons, Michael & Mitchell Crossno; sisters, Virginia Johnson and Marie Acre.

She is survived by daughters, Betty Nelson and husband Gene of Anaheim, CA, Patsy Gibbs of Guy; son Samuel L. Lane and wife Pamela of Guy; sisters, Ruth Newell and Marion Powell both of Conway, Bessie Johnson of N. Little Rock and Louise McGinty of Greenbrier, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Hilda was so proud of her family and loved them all dearly. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 26, 2005 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. Sonny Harvison officiating. Burial will be at the Old Texas Cemetery in Guy.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Richard Crossno, David Lane, Jason Lane; nephews, Bob Kessinger, John Lane, Russell Sutherland.
