Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services
A Funeral Service for Howard Dwight Sanders of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, October 21, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Heather Marsalis as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Howard passed away October 17, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born September 7, 1936, in Oblong, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Naomi Montana Sanders. He married Nancy Ann Homolka in 1958, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a mechanic for General Motors. Howard lived in Mountain Home since 1993, moving from Chicago, Illinois. He enjoyed skydiving, playing guitar and striper fishing.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Marjorie (David) Swanson of Mountain Home, AR; son, Scott Sanders of Tinley Park, IL; two grandchildren, Matthew (Leah) Swanson and Alison Swanson and two brothers, Ora Sanders of Wheatfield, IN and Ron (Ruth) Sanders of Haymarket, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and two brothers, Harold and Ralph Sanders.
A private burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
