Randal Lynn Garrett, 60 of Conway passed away at his home on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Born in Magnolia, AR on May 6, 1952, Mr. Garrett was a son to Roy Lee and Noweta (Willard) Garrett. He served in the US Navy with the Attack Squadron, Ninety Seven on the USS Enterprise, during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a painting contractor for over 35 years. He loved talking with his children and grandchildren and teaching them about life. He loved to read, talk about his philosophies on life, with anyone who would listen, he loved to fish, and he loved to take his dog Keo for rides in his truck and he loved to visit with his friends. He was a spiritualist and believed in a beautiful afterlife. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Kenneth Wayne Garrett.
Survivors include his wife, Sue ( Hopkins) Garrett; sons: Russell Garrett (Stephanie) of Wooster and Chris Sluss (Olivia) of Conway; daughter Linda Garrett ( Kori) of Conway; grandchildren: Zane, Clayton, Sheylbee, Ayden, Camryn, Raylee and Ruger; brother: James Garrett of Magnolia and sisters: Lisa Burns of Winnisboro, TX and Rita Lewis of Buckner, AR, his fishing buddy Bob, his beloved dog Keo and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 15, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, August 14, at the funeral home.
