Hallous Harm Garrett 80 of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord from his home in Greenbrier Wednesday (Dec. 7, 2005). He was born September 30, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to the late Herman and Beulah Terry Garrett of Conway. He attended the Church of the Nazarene in Greenbrier. Hallous was a Navy veteran of WWII, a retired truck driver and a cattle farmer. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Clois, Hassel, Ben, Doug, G. W. and Eddie. Also two sisters, Erma Lee and Erva Lee Garrett and a granddaughter Chasitee.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Euna Mae Reynolds Garrett, three sons, Ronnie and wife Carolyn, Randy and wife Rhonda, Hallous Jr. and wife Deb, all of Greenbrier. Two daughters, Janis Robbins and husband Jerry, Cheryl Hartwick and husband Sammy Joe also of Greenbrier, two brothers, Jerry Garrett of Greenbrier, Billy Frank Garrett of Conway and one sister Sue Collums of Bee Branch, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many friends and their dog Cory.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Nazarene in Greenbrier with burial in Thorn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Nikki & Sean Wright, Kelly Garrett, Chris Hillis, Kaci and Cassidy Garrett, Travis Robbins, Cory and Hillary Garrett, Rusty Hartwick, Amy and Michael Lance, Robin and Leon Kett.
Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Reynolds, Melton Cotton, Paul Black, Doug Satterwhite, Billy Ray Nichols, Jr, Mark Hall, Monty Leggitt, Cecil Hall, Bob Dunk and Lavone Graham.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. A special thanks to Hospice Home Care for the many hours of compassionate and dedicated care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 821 A North Creek Drive, Conway, AR 72034.
