Joyce the wife of Johnny J Sharp. The daughter of Herschel and Blanche (Petty) Taylor.

Joyce Taylor Sharp

Joyce Taylor Sharp, 73, of Jonesboro, died Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born July 21, 1936, in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of Herschel and Blanche Petty Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Sharp, whom she married May 31, 1955, in Walnut Ridge; three daughters, Brenda LaCroix and husband Jeff, Veblen, S.D., Norma Li and husband John and Lora Baugh and husband Perry, all of Jonesboro; two sons, Randel Sharp and wife Claudia, Jonesboro, and David Sharp and wife Lori, Bartlett, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Taylor, Williford; three brothers, Herschel Taylor, Pickwick Dam, Tenn., and Hayden Taylor and Keith Taylor, both of Williford; and six grandchildren.

Funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Higginbotham Chapel with Bro. John Thomas Stoll officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery at Imboden under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.

Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Gertie Skaggs, Anna Bowers, Lillie Curtis, Pat Taylor, Mary Taylor and Phyllis Fitzgerald.
