Husband of Mary Sharp. Son of Chester Leon Sharp and Occara Loverre Ward Sharp (Cossey)

Owen William Sharp, 68 of Smithville, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at home. Born April 28, 1947 in Eaton to Chester and Loverre Ward Sharp. He was lifetime resident of Lawrence County and a carpenter. Owen also worked 25 years for Con-Agra in Batesville. He was a member of the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Eaton.

Preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Olene Rogers, Doris Frazier, Pauline Bauch and Lorene Bowline.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Sharp; daughter, Lori Highfield of Smithville; sisters, Opal Lee of Strawberry, Willene Powers of Jonesboro and Charlene Burton of Pangburn; grandchildren, Christin Brown, Erica Highfield, Emily Highfield and Zoey Brown.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Old LeBanon Cemetery near Eaton, with Bro. Don Winfrey officiating.
